Catherine McCormack, academic and expert in the field of maternal themes in art, curates a two-part exhibition exploring maternal experience and subjectivity.

From March 2019 to March 2020, Richard Saltoun Gallery dedicated 100% of its exhibition and art fair programme to women artists. Titled 100% Women, the initiative was implemented to address the gender inequality that persists in the art world and encourage wider industry action through debate, dialogue and collaboration. It is now a leader in its representation of female artists, from avant-garde pioneers of the 1960s and ‘70s to a younger generation of female artists working today. It continues to support female artists through extensive research, partnerships and solo presentations at the gallery and online.

WOMEN LOOK AT WOMEN, curated by Paolo Ugolini, inaugurates Richard Saltoun Gallery's new space on 41 Dover Street. The group exhibition explores feminine identity through the work of thirteen internationally renowned female artists, with each work on show reflecting a different aspect of the relationship women have with their own bodies and how they judge and respond to the physicality of other women.

For the first time since 2005, Helen CHADWICK's seminal series of thirteen photographs, Wreaths to Pleasure (1992–93), will be exhibited in their entirety. Taking as its exhibition title Chadwick's own reference to the series as 'Bad Blooms', the exhibition at Richard Saltoun Gallery will visually stimulate the public's senses through this presentation of her unique use of colour and matter.

To mark the 60th anniversary of the birth of British artist Helen CHADWICK (18 May 1953), Richard Saltoun Gallery proudly presents the artist's first solo exhibition for almost ten years. The exhibition presents a selection of photographs and sculptures from 1982 until 1994, the year of her death, with over 20 works on display.
