Pierre Molinier 1900-1976

A solo exhibition celebrating the career and unorthodox life of the French Surrealist artist Pierre MOLINIER. through the presentation of more than 50 groundbreaking photographs, paintings and drawings from the 1950s onwards.

On the 40th anniversary of 'Transformer: Aspects of Travesty' – a groundbreaking show curated by Jean-Christophe Ammann in 1974 – Richard Saltoun Gallery organises a re-proposition of the original exhibition that will reunite all the artists in London. This is the first such reunion to commemorate the exhibition that dealt with the aesthetics of desire and sexuality through travesty and drag performance.
