It criticizes the sexual objectification of the body, and more specifically, how we are judged for the bodies we have. With the work, Richardson reversed the idea of the body vis-a-vis skin, where a ‘skin’ could be worn on the outside of our bodies instead of clothes. It is accompanied by a hanging price tag, epitomising discourses of resistance against sexual objectification and commodification.Exhibitions
