Join us for a guided tour of our
major retrospective dedicated to Bice Lazzari. Led by Renato Miracco, Italian art expert & curator of the recent exhibition
Bice Lazzari: Modernist Pioneer at the Estorick Collection in London, the tour will provide insights into the life and career of one of the most influential figures in twentieth-century Italian art.
During her long and prolific career, Bice Lazzari produced paintings, collages and works on paper that explore the aesthetics of Art Informel, Minimalism and Abstraction, leaving us a body of work that testifies to her extraordinary artistic sensibility and strength of character.
Organised in collaboration with Archivio Bice Lazzari, Rome, the exhibition at Richard Saltoun Gallery presents an impressive collection of worksspanning 60 years of the artist’s career (1920s–80s), which trace the artist’s different experimental phases and offer a unique insight into Lazzari’s lyricism and modernity, consolidating her position as a major figure in Italian art scene. The works on view come mostly from the artist’s archive and are not for sale, with the exception of a few pieces owned by the gallery.
