Panorama Monferrato: Italics: Art & Landscape

4 - 8 September 2024

Richard Saltoun Gallery is pleased to announce its participation in Panorama Monferrato, the fourth edition of the region-wide exhibition conceived by ITALICS – an institutional organisation that brings together more than 70 galleries of ancient, modern, and contemporary art.

The gallery will present the works of Atelier dell'Errore (AdE), a distinguished artistic collective focused on visual and performing arts. AdE was born through workshops conducted by artist Luca Santiago Mora since 2002, aimed at neuro-divergent youth under the care of the local health units in Reggio Emilia and Bergamo. The collective was formally established in 2015, as several young artists, upon reaching adulthood, decided to commit to their artistic practice professionally.

Curated by Carlo Falciani, Panorama Monferrato will take place from September 4 to 8, 2024, amidst vineyards, castles, and parish churches. For five days, the event will inhabit the villages of Camagna Monferrato, Vignale Monferrato, Montemagno Monferrato, and Castagnole Monferrato, crafting an unprecedented narrative that bridges the ancient, modern, and contemporary in an itinerary designed to rediscover an extraordinary corner of Italy.

The exhibition area extends between the provinces of Alessandria and Asti to the foothills of the Ligurian Apennines, encompassing the Langhe and Roero regions and the historic Lombardy region of Lomellina. This landscape of rolling hills, rich in land and rural traditions, represents a unique heritage of culture, history, and traditions, recognized by UNESCO. The event encourages a leisurely exploration through artistic itineraries ranging from Romanesque to contemporary, featuring site-specific installations and public art, transforming the area into an extensive open-air museum.
