Richard Saltoun Gallery is delighted to announce its participation in the 33rd edition of BIAF - Biennale Internazionale dell'Antiquariato di Firenze, which will take place from September 28 to October 6 2024, at Palazzo Corsini, Florence.

BIAF is the oldest market exhibition in the world and one of the most significant events dedicated to Italian art on the international stage. This prestigious event will feature a carefully curated selection of antique and modern art, offering a comprehensive overview of Italian artistic tradition. 

For its presentation at BIAF 2024, Richard Saltoun Gallery will feature an all-female booth that reflects the gallery’s dedication to pioneering women artists, showcasing works by Bice Lazzari (1900-1981), Franca Maranò (1920-2015), and Antonietta Raphaël (1895- 1975). These artists were renowned for their innovation and ability to push the boundaries of their respective artistic fields, although they remained largely underappreciated during their lifetimes, only receiving the recognition they deserved in recent years. This exhibition aims to rectify this by celebrating their significant contributions to the evolution of the feminist avant-garde in Modern and Post-war art.
