Renate BERTLMANN: 'Here lies my Tenderness'

Renate BERTLMANN inaugurates the new centre of the Kunstmeile Krems, the Landesgalerie Niederösterreich (State Gallery of Lower Austria), with a major exhibition of work. Titled 'Hier ruht meine Zärtlichkeit [Here lies my Tenderness]', the exhibition features a new installation created especially for the show, presented alongside key works from the 1970s and 1980s. 

The exhibition marks the  artist's first solo exhibition in a museum and coincides with her representation of Austria at the 2019 Venice Biennale. Remarkably, Bertlmann is the first female artist to represent her native country with a solo exhibition.
