Alexis Hunter's Self-Portrait (1977/2010) is featured in the online exhibition I'll be Your Mirror, curated by Beth Greenacre for Vortic Curated, in partnership with The Courtauld Gallery.
The exhibition features works by thirteen artists - including Manet's notorious painting, A Bar at the Folies Bergere -, exploring a variety of ways in which the motif of the mirror has been used throughout art history to reflect on complex ideas around identity and the gaze, presence and absence, subject and object, paintings relationship to reality and illusion and more.
