Silvia Giambrone's work is included in Rifrazioni 15 curatori x 15 artisti [Refractions 15 curators x 15 artists ] collective exhibition curated by Massimo Mininni and Barbara Reggio.
Rifrazioni 15 curatori x 15 artisti is an exhibition project of the Accademia Nazionale di San Luca, Rome where fifteen curators, from different generations and heterogeneous critical backgrounds, identified fifteen artists who have offered their own interpretation of the historical spaces of one of the oldest academies in Europe, conceived as a 'House of Artists'.
Curator and art historian Paola Ugolini involved Silvia Giambrone in this project conceived by Marco Tirelli –president of the Accademia di San Luca– by exhibiting eight pieces from her Security Blanket series; whose embroidered instructions undertake a conceptual operation by brutally unmasking the taboo that constrains sexual violence to silence.
