Ria Verhaeghe's works will be the main focus of the group exhibition SANT2024 at the Cultural Centre Bruges, Belgium.
For thirty years, Ria has been compiling an image archive: the Provisoria , a multitude of images that surround us, found in discarded newspapers and that she classifies and transforms through artistic processes. This exhibition will be dedicated to her mother, bringing together key works from across her most important series, such as Verticals and Cuddle and Prayer sculptures.
Verhaeghe will also be chairing the jury, who will announce a laureate and an incentive prize.
The exhibition will be on view 22 September - 3 November 2024.
